Posts Dated: JUNE 2012Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) is a year long initiative to partner with local non-profits who positively influence the health of children in the Charleston community. REV selected five local non-profits as beneficiaries and each non-profit has a designated week in which all REV restaurants will donate 5% of their proceeds to that organization. Last month REV donated $17,568.50 to The Green Heart Project. From June 13th- June 20th REV will donate 5% of the proceeds to Darkness to Light.
Darkness to Light raises awareness of the reality and consequences of child sexual abuse by educating adults about the steps they can take to prevent, recognize and react responsibly. We can end this abuse and REV encourages you to be a part of the solution! Join Poe’s Tavern and other REV restaurants for a meal with a purpose!
Last week Revolutionary Eating Ventures partnered with The Green Heart Project and successfully raised $17,568.50 to help support the efforts of the organization!Thank you to all patrons of Poe’s Tavern who helped make this amazing donation possible!
The Green Heart Project is dedicated to teaching disadvantaged children how to respect themselves, others and the earth by working with their classmates and local volunteers to build and maintain an urban vegetable garden. The Green Heart Project instills the knowledge and values needed for a sustainable future in every aspect and successfully creates a better environment for the children in our community. The funds will directly contribute to garden expansion as well as the overall program expansion.
REV is looking forward to continued success with the remaining N2N partners. Each of the following organizations have been designated a respective week and during that week, REV will donate 5% of the proceeds from its restaurants to each organization.
Upcoming dates for N2N include:
Darkness to Light: 6/13-6/20
Wings for Kids: 9/19 -9/26
Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center: 12/12-12/19
Join REV in its effort to raise money for these organizations and improve the lives of children throughout the Charleston community.
