If you haven’t already heard, Poe’s is in the midst of a New Burger Competition to celebrate our 9th anniversary and our supply of Certified Angus Beef from local purveyors. Simply submit your burger idea and toppings to the Poe’s Tavern Facebook page, before Monday, March 26, 2012, and you’re entered to win. Two semi-finalists will be chosen, with the winner chosen by our customers. The prizes? Your burger could claim an esteemed place on the Poe’s Tavern menu, plus you’ll receive a basket of prizes, complimentary bar tabs – and most importantly, legendary status at one of Charleston’s greatest taverns. Revolutionary Eating Ventures AKA, REV , owners of Monza, Taco Boy, Closed For Business and The Royal American, and yours truly, teamed up for our Neighbor-to-Neighbor (N2N) Campaign to raise money and awareness for five Charleston-area non-profit organizations. We’re proud to introduce the first beneficiary of our efforts, Louie’s Kids. Dedicated to fighting childhood obesity in the Charleston community, Louie’s Kids empowers children to live healthier lives through good eating habits, exercise, body awareness, and communication. Poe’s and REV are proud to help Louie’s Kids enhance the health and happiness of our community’s children, because they are our future!
